CoolSculpting induces a significant, noticeable, natural-looking reduction in fat bulges that are resistant to diet and exercise. Unlike most other methods of fat reduction, CoolSculpting involves no needles, surgery, or downtime. Patients often spend the procedure time reading, working on their laptops and phones, or simply relaxing. It’s safe, FDA-cleared and effective.

Results look natural and can be seen as early as three weeks following treatment. The most dramatic results of fat loss are often seen, one to three months after the treatment and now it is even better! Synergy MedAesthetics is the only practice in the Tri-Cities to offer DUALSCULPTING! Which means we can remove twice the fat in half the time! Synergy also offers CoolSculpting CoolMini to help remove fat from the chin and neck area! Fat in your arms? We got you covered! Synergy also offers the brand new CoolAdvantage Petite, the ONLY FDA cleared treatment for upper arm fat reduction.

How does CoolSculpting Work?

The science behind CoolSculpting is called cryolipolysis and was developed by a world-renowned dermatologist at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School.Research showed that fat cells are naturally more vulnerable to the effects of cooling than other surrounding tissues, and that fat cells can be safely eliminated without harming the skin. This discovery led to the development of the non-invasive Zeltiq Procedure.

During the procedure, a non-invasive applicator delivers precisely controlled cooling to target and eliminate fat cells in specific areas of your body.

When fat cells are exposed to cooling during CoolSculpting, it triggers a process of natural removal, which gradually reduces the thickness of the fat layer. The result is a reduction in fat bulges that is visible in most patients in about two to four months.

This treatment is comfortable for most patients. No anesthesia and/or pain medication was needed by patients during the treatment in clinical trials. At Synergy MedAesthetics we take care to give you the best experience and results from CoolSculpting Tri-Cities has to offer. During the procedure, a non-invasive applicator delivers precisely controlled cooling to target and eliminate fat cells in specific areas of your body.

The CoolSculpting Procedure

The applicator is placed on the treatment area – the area you want to get rid of fat. You will feel a mild sucking sensation as the applicator sticks on to your body. You will feel a cool effect – this is the signature effect of CoolSculpting.

You might experience a tingly sensation, mild aching, or cramping at the site during the procedure. Some CoolSculpting Tri-Cities clients even describe this sensation as a tugging, pulling, mild pinching, or a stinging sensation. All these sensations are natural and prove that the applicator is at work. All these sensations will disappear as the area becomes numb.

Once the applicator is detached, you will be given a gentle and brief massage on the treated area to break up all the treated fat cells. The massage will also ensure enhanced fat reduction.

What Happens to the Fat Cells?

The exposure to cooling causes the fat cells to begin a process of natural removal, which gradually reduces the thickness of the fat layer. The fat cells in the treated area are gently eliminated through the body’s normal metabolic processes, similar to how fat from food is eliminated.

How Long does a Single CoolSculpting Treatment Last?

The length of the treatment varies and will depend on which area of the body is targeted. Some areas require as little as 35 minutes. If you are getting several areas treated at the same time, you can expect the treatment to be longer.

Side Effects that You Might Experience After the Procedure

Some typical side effects include temporary redness, bruising, blanching, firmness, swelling, tenderness, itching, and even skin sensitivity. Don’t be alarmed by these side effects – they are natural and will subside.

You might even experience a feeling of fullness in the back of your throat after the treatment. Severe side effects are rare and will be discussed with you at the time of consultation.

How Many Treatments will I Need?

There is a 20% to 25% reduction of fat after just one treatment. The number of treatments you will require will depend on your desired goal. When you consult with us, we will determine if you will require additional treatments – and if so, how many you will need.

When will I see Results?

You can expect to see results 1 to 3 months after your treatment. However, you might be able to see a reduction in fat for up to six months after treatment.

Is CoolSculpting Safe?

CoolSculpting has been recognized, approved, and cleared by the FDA as an effective and safe treatment for the reduction of fat from 9 fat zones in the body.

Can I Gain Weight After CoolSculpting Treatment?

CoolSculpting is not a weight loss program. CoolSculpting reduces pockets of stubborn fat that are otherwise hard to eliminate. To ensure that you don’t gain weight after the treatment, you must follow healthy habits such as eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly.

Will My Insurance Cover My CoolSculpting Treatment?

Since CoolSculpting is a voluntary treatment, it is not covered by insurance. However, we advise you to check with your insurance agent regarding this.
